Morning Walk

Mommy took a walk around the lake so the kids came out with me for the dog’s morning walk. Here you see Sydney with Ditto and Max with Samantha on the bridge behind our house. Max was collecting rocks, while Sydney was busy collecting stones.

How to Make Apple Pie and See the World

Max attend Drama Camp this past week at George Mason University. They did a little musical theatre, did some commercials, and learned a play that they performed on the afternoon of the last day. The play was called “How to Make Apple Pie and See the World.” Max seemed to enjoy camp and will actually be attending another week later in the summer.

Unfortunately Mommy had to work tonight so we had a nice breakfast birthday celebration this morning. As a special treat Mommy made us dinner and cake (the kids helped) before she headed off for work. Max, Sydney and I had a great dinner and some yummy carrot cake. Thanks Mommy, and thanks to everyone for their birthday wishes.

Castaway Cay Pics

We wrapped up our Disney vacation with Castaway Cay, and it was a perfect finish to a great vacation. On our way to the beach we met up with Jack Sparrow for a quick shot with the kids. Max and I picked up our snorkeling equipment and found mommy and Sydney on the beach.

Snorkeling didn’t go exactly as planned. Once Max got acclimated to the snorkeling experience he realized that there were fish in the water. That cut the snorkeling a bit short. :) We then had a fantastic lunch, had a bike ride, and hung out at the beach. Favorite part of Castaway Cay?…

Daddy: My favorite part was by far the bike ride that Max and I took. This was actually our first bike ride together and experiencing it in such a scenic area was awesome. The trail was pretty empty and very secluded. My only regret is I didn’t take any pics!

Mommy: Castaway Cay is an amazing place to just be. It was most enjoyable because we were there with family. This was my favorite day of the cruise. It was relaxing, just watching the ocean, being with family as the came and went at various times. Watching the kids build sand castles…. Floating in a big inner tube on the water… It was truly a perfect day.

Max: My favorite part was the lunch. They had cookies, a little pasta, pizza, and hamburgers. I also like the bike ride.

Sydney: My favorite part was playing on the beach.

Airline/Airplane Pics

This was Max and Sydney’s first time on an airplane. Both did great and kept business for most of the flight. It did take a good 10-15 minutes to get Sydney to let go of her ears, she was very concerned about her ears popping.

Max & Syd waving goobye this morning

Pic on Flickr.

Max and Sydney have taken to waving goodbye in the mornings. They’ll run down the street, often in their PJs, and wait for Mommy or Daddy to drive by and wave. It’s great to get such a wonderful send off.
