A movie we made a few months ago for Kim.

This the debut of the Coach Motel at Rocktoberfest 2009. This was a ton of fun, and my first time on stage playing drums. Actually up until 4 weeks ago it had been over 20 years since I’ve really played drums. Here’s the band…
On guitars: Tom Marino, Louis Lee, Brent Johnson
On bass: Randy Laylo
On drums: Bill Jensen
On the mic: Bill Rusch

Last Summer we went to the Fairfax County Health Fair at Wakefield Park. Lots of fun and Max did some rock climbing and Sydney had fun with the obstacle course.

Can’t remember exactly when, but this past Summer I took the dogs up to the mountains and helped my parents out with a little drywall work.

Last Thursday I met Max’s class for a field trip at Mount Vernon. It was a pretty short visit, but still a lot of fun. I headed up the group with Max and Zoey. First we swung by the museum to check out his false teeth and then headed to the mansion. We ran out of time and had to make a quick exit from the mansion to make sure the kids didn’t miss the bus. And as a bonus we just beat the rain :)

Hello world! Bill has tasked me with this write-up. Summer has come to an end. This summer, we had many fun adventures together. Our family vacation was a trip to Rehoboth Beach with Uncle Kevin and Michael. Here are some of our favorite moments at the beach:

Max: “Games on the boardwalk. I liked digging holes at the beach. Boogie boarding on the waves was fun.”

Sydney: “I liked going in the water. I liked playing in the sun. I made a sand castle. I went in deep water. I found sea shells.”

Kim: “I celebrated my 40th (ugh!!!!) birthday at the beach. Kevin treated us to a wonderful French dinner in Lewes on my birthday. The weather was beautiful. We spent two days at the beach, hours on end, digging in the sand and wading in the ocean. The rest of the time we spent playing miniature golf, driving go carts, painting pottery, shopping, and eating. Thanks to Kevin and Michael for sharing the house with us!”

Here is the video from our Disney trip this past Spring. The trip was to celebrate Gene and Carolyn’s 50th anniversary. Congratulations! I had waaaay too much video to fit in the Cruise part of the vacation, so that is still in the works. Enjoy!
